Generally maternity photos are best taken between 30-36 weeks gestation. If you have a family history of having early babies, we recommend scheduling earlier in your pregnancy. just in case
When should I schedule my maternity photos?
How do I schedule newborn photos when I don’t know when they will actually arrive?
Yes! While we do book up in advance we are happy to squeeze newborn sessions into our schedule whenever possible. Older babies tend to be a little more alert and may not go into the sleepy poses typical of a 1-3 week old, but instead we can get some beautiful photos of them with their eyes wide open, or even with one of those first smiles! We truly believe there is no wrong time to photograph your baby.
My baby has already been born, can I still schedule newborn photos?
We hope this won’t happen, but just in case it does, we are happy to apply maternity session fees toward a newborn ordering appointment instead.
We only take so many newborns per month, so make sure you email or call us as soon as possible! That being said, things get cancelled and shifted around all the time, so even if it’s last minute, call us! We’ll do our best to get you in our schedule.
We understand that stuff comes up and will do our very best to get you rescheduled whenever possible. We ask that you please use the “better safe than sorry” mindset and reschedule if you or another family member is sick.
Yes! We encourage older siblings, mom & dad and even grandparents to take part in our sessions and do not charge extra for additional people. Please just let us know in advance who to expect so we can plan accordingly.
What if my baby arrives before my session?

Can the whole family be included?
When do I need to book?
Yes, this is tricky! But all our newborn clients are in the same boat so we are constantly shuffling. We take a limited number of newborn bookings each month to ensure that we will be able to get our clients onto the schedule within 1-3 weeks after their baby is born. You will have a tentative session date about a week after your due date that can be adjusted as necessary. We ask that you keep us in the loop on baby’s arrival so we can plan accordingly.

Our luxury newborn experience and studio maternity sessions now include a same day viewing session! For our outdoor sessions we will schedule a time to view your images within 2 weeks of your session.
How long does it take to see my images?
Wait, Viewing Session? What’s that?
Your images are finalized 7-10 days after your ordering appointment and sent via web gallery for your approval. Once product orders have been placed, we generally have albums and collection boxes ready for you in about 3-4 weeks. Please allow 8-10 weeks for custom framing and wall art. Once everything arrives we will let you know that it is ready for pickup at the Glean Studio.
Once my order is placed how long does it take to arrive?
All images that you purchase get basic color correction and cleanup for stray hairs, tiny blemishes, baby acne etc. If you would like us to do anything else, say the word! Extensive retouching is available for an additional fee.
Yes, all of our collections are available with or without the physical products. While we highly encourage creating a keepsake art piece for your family, it is ultimately your decision.
Nope! We want you to walk away with images you absolutely love and cherish. You can absolutely purchase a base package and nothing additional.
How much editing do you do to the images?

Can I just buy digital files?
A viewing session or reveal session is when we meet with you and any other household decision makers to look at your images together for the first time and place your artwork order. It takes place at the Glean studio or at your own home by special request. At this session you’ll see the products we offer, choose your favorite images, request any changes you might have and we’ll place the order the very same day with cash, check or card.

Yes! We are happy to work with your budget and create a payment plan that works for your family. All physical products are delivered after the payment plan is complete.
