STUDIO POLICIES


Thank you for choosing Glean + Co for your upcoming maternity & newborn sessions! 

We can't wait to create beautiful images for your home. To ensure that your sessions go as smoothly as possible please read and initial our studio policies. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 208-254-2596 and we'd be more than happy to go through it all with you. 

Photography SESSIONS 

1) Your full base package payment (which includes the session fee + base collection) is due at time of booking to secure your session date. Please see our complete reschedule & cancellation policies below for additional details.

Your Base Session includes:

An hour of shooting time in the greater Boise* area or in our lifestyle studio. A combination of studio & outdoor is available for an additional $200 fee.

Professional Maternity, Newborn & Safety Trained Newborn photographer

Use of all client closet with maternity dresses and sweaters, sweaters and henleys for dad, children's clothing sizes 0-8. Plus preferred vendor lists should you prefer to shop.

An in-person ordering appointment to choose favorite images for purchase and create custom wall galleries, albums and collection boxes.

Our 5 image base collection (regularly $590) with the option to upgrade.

Additional Prints, Products and digital files are available to purchase at your ordering appointment and are not included within the booking fee.

Hair and Makeup upgrade available as add on service (+$200))

Luxury Newborn Experience Upgrade (+$300) includes:

2) If for any reason you need to reschedule your session please contact us as soon as possible as we have very limited newborn time slots available and a short window while your baby is the ideal age. That being said, if you or another family member are sick please do not hesitate to let us know and we will do everything we can to find another time. Because our clients are all pregnant women, tiny babies and young children we ask that you be overly cautious and let us know in advance about any concerning symptoms. Please see reschedule & cancellation policies below for further details.

3) If you are bringing older siblings we highly recommend having them arrive separately from mom and baby so they are not waiting for their turn. We also recommend avoiding bribery in the form of something taking place after the photo session (I.e. "after this we will get ice cream") as we have found this simply makes them want to be done with the session. Glean & Co cannot guarantee any particular images and are not responsible for participant cooperation. Reshoots due to children & baby's behavior is entirely up to the discretion of the photographer and subject to a $100 reshoot fee.

4) Before the start of your newborn session we recommend singing some songs, reading books or giving the baby a warm bath and then feeding them right before departing for the studio. This extra awake time will help the baby to get into a deeper sleep and help your session to go smoother. You will receive a list of our pre-session tips and tricks a day or two before your session.

PREVIEW AND PURCHASE SESSION 

5) Immediately after your session we will schedule a time to get together for your ordering session in our studio(approximately 1-2 weeks later). We ask that all decision makers be present for this session. Please be prepared to place your order at this time. If necessary, additional ordering appointments may be scheduled for $100. 

If you purchased a Luxury Upgrade for your Newborn Session your ordering appointment will be held immediately after your newborn photoshoot. Same day ordering appointments are available for other session types, subject to availability, for a $100 fee. 

6) Your order will go into production when full payment is received from You. You have 48 hours from the time of order placement to request any changes to your print and product order. After this 48-hour window, your order cannot be changed as it will have entered production.

Any order changes that result in a refund will be subject to credit card processing fees plus a 10% change fee, which will be deducted from your refund amount.

Payment plans are available, however, images will not be ordered or delivered until all payments are complete. Should you not finish making your payments your order will be canceled and whatever money has been paid toward the order will be forfeited.

7) Additional photoshop work beyond the basics we have provided on your images is available and billed at a rate of $120/hr. If you'd like us to edit something please let us know and we will provide you with a time quote before work begins. If you decide not to purchase the edited image after the changes have been made you will still be billed for the editing costs.  

8) All sales are final. Should you find a flaw in a print you have purchased through Glean + Co, please contact us within 48 hours of print and product pickup so we can have it reprinted for you.

All images are edited to Glean + Co's professional standards and signature style. While we will accommodate one round of editing requests at no additional charge for technical adjustments (such as blemish removal or flyaway hairs), we maintain our consistent artistic vision and will not alter our signature editing style to accommodate personal style preferences. Any additional editing requests beyond the first round will be charged at the editing rate listed above.

DIGITAL IMAGES

9) A high resolution digital version of your purchased images will be provided in a web gallery with a download PIN along with a print release. While you may print these files as you wish, we recommend using our professional printing services for larger prints (anything bigger than 8x12). When you order through us, we prepare your images at the exact specifications needed by our professional labs to ensure you get the highest quality results possible.

10) Glean + Co is not responsible for the outcome of printed images outside of our professional labs and cannot guarantee the quality of the print you will receive- in particular from places such as Walgreens, Walmart, Costco or Shutterfly. 

11) We work hard to create aesthetically pleasing images with high quality photographic equipment. Please do not compromise this by using instagram filters or any additional 3rd party editing on our images. This also includes screenshots of the images as this creates a pixelated image that is not up to our standards. 

12) We hope you love your images and want to share them with the world! We ask that you please remember to credit Glean +Co whenever you post our work to social media. Glean + Co retains copyrights on all images. Printing images you have screen shot or saved from social media sources that have not been purchased is stealing and punishable by law.  

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Fees: All cancellations, regardless of timing, are subject to a $200 cancellation fee to cover administrative time and credit card processing fees.

48-Hour Grace Period: We offer a 48-hour grace period after booking should you choose to cancel your session. After this 48-hour period, your entire session fee becomes non-refundable. Session fees vary by session type - please refer to your invoice for specific amounts.

Base Collection Refund Policy: Base collection fees are refundable up to 30 days prior to your session date. Within 30 days of your session, base collection fees become non-refundable.

When entering into these Studio Policies, and upon payment of the Session Fee You become liable to Glean & Co for the Fees, and Glean & Co becomes liable to You for the Services.


13) The Services can be rescheduled once to another date due to illness or other emergency or for any other reason, subject to Glean & Co’s availability. Requests to reschedule the Services to another date for any reason other than illness or other emergency must be made at least 7 days prior to a Photography Session and 3 days prior to an Ordering Appointment. 

14) If You reschedule the Services more than once or do not provide the notice referred to in clause 13, Glean & Co will charge You a cancellation fee of $100 and You agree to pay this. 

15) Any requests to cancel the Services must be made in writing and must provide at least 30 days' notice. The Base Package Fee less the session fee is refundable if You cancel the Services in writing and provide at least 30 days' notice prior to the Photography Session date. Session fees vary by session type - please refer to your invoice for specific amounts. 

16) Glean & Co requires any rescheduled sessions or appointments to be finalized within 7 days of the original cancelled date (regardless of when the new session or appointment will take place). Glean & Co does not allow rescheduled sessions or appointments to be left ‘pending’, unless there are extenuating circumstances. If You do not finalize a rescheduled session or appointment within 7 days from request, Glean&Co reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of $100. 

17) If You make a booking for an outdoor session of any kind You agree that You will comply with Glean & Co’s inclement weather and rescheduling policy as follows:

(a) You cannot request rescheduling of your outdoor session based on an advance weather forecast.

(b) You will allow Glean&Co to make a decision to reschedule Your outdoor session on the day of (or if necessary, the day before) the outdoor session.

(c ) You agree that the definition of inclement weather is persistent or heavy rain, hail, uncharacteristic extreme temperature for the season, gale force wind or electrical storms.

(d) Glean& Co do not reschedule outdoor sessions because it is hot, cold, frosty, cloudy, or where it has been raining prior to Your booking start time. 

(f) Glean&Co reserves the right to change its inclement weather and rescheduling policy and will communicate any changes to You.
