Is an Outdoor session right for your family?
????????????
Outdoor newborn photography:
✔️An outdoor newborn session is most commonly done within the first two weeks of life and is weather dependent.
✔️In the United States you can usually get away with a newborn outdoor session between May and September, depending on the year and the temperature. I personally prefer to do sessions outdoors when it is between 70-90 degrees outside, though you may be able to get away with sessions slightly outside of this range when done in very small increments of time to ensure baby’s comfort.
✔️Outdoor photographers typically utilize many buckets, bowls or crates and bring along a variety of wraps, outfits, headbands or bonnets to add variety to the session.
✔️Natural light is used and they may or may not use light modifiers like a scrim (A large screen to block out harsh sunlight) or a reflector
✔️Family photos within an outdoor session can take on a lifestyle edge and be more relaxed or be more heavily posed- this will depend greatly on the photographer’s preferred style of shooting and definitely something to ask if you feel strongly one way or the other.
