When I had my first son 12 years ago I was exactly in your shoes. A creative at heart with a love for a project and thought- why would I hire a professional to take his photos when I can do it myself!?

Boy was I wrong. I quickly realized that photographing a newborn was a world apart from anything I had done before. Despite my background in photography, I wasn't prepared for the unique challenges of working with a brand new baby.
